Guest Review: A wonderfully managed inn on a quiet, private lane with frontage on Greenport harbor and stunning Shelter Island views.
"We spent three days and two nights during April at Harbor Knoll, which offers the best features of a well-managed B&B, including quiet, well-kept rooms with window views of the harbor, bay and Shelter Island, a generous daily breakfast in a lovely sun room with similar views, and thoughtful management by the Miller family, who have just the right touch in this Victorian-era house which has been their home for some 40 years, and which they have opened to guests for the past 10 or so. Our stay felt as if we were special guests of a good friend in a very special bayside home. It is a home filled with interesting books, authentic period furnishings, and a special charm combining modern conveniences with 19th century style gentility, all together with marvelously manicured grounds around a well-kept house. Of course, Greenport is itself an interesting town with an interesting history. It was a perfect spot from which to explore the astounding growth of winemaking and vineyards all along the North Fork of Long Island." Shared by: Robert C.
